Western States

Trail Running — After movie | Jul 2025

Western States isn't just another 100-miler.

It started with horses, then one guy decided to run it. The rest is trail-running legend.

Salomon asked for something different for this recap. Not the usual hero montage. We linked with Quanine Studio in France and bent the footage in ways the ultra-trail world hadn't seen. On the ground we chased the grit and the weird beauty of a race that never gets easier. The climbs, the falls, the middle-of-the-night silence.

Shot through old lenses. The frames carry weight. So does the story.
