Not Quite Gone

Cycling — Brand Film | Jan 2026

We built a 2-meter high wheel totem and transported it by canoe as the tide rose around us.

We wanted to break the expected utility of the wheel by treating it not as a literal object that helps you move faster, but as a burden carried against its intended purpose. Entirely shot on 16mm with a desynced shutter and no monitor, we built a 3-meter high wheel totem and transported it by canoe as the tide rose around us.

A girl holding a wheel overhead walking in a golden grain field under a pale sky, with faint curved tracks in the middle and a dark treeline along the horizon.

It was rewarding to watch the project travel, with shares from Outside Details, Le Grenier, and more.
